My amazing weekend

                                                                                  

On the weekend my family and I went to my cousin Angelina’s birthday party at valentines. First thing I did was I went to find a chair for Angelina and I to seat on. After  everyone was  seated, Angelina mum said lets wait for one more guest to arrive..

After a while, it was Finally  time for everyone to give their presents to Angelina and her little brother. Then my uncle said a  Prayer so that  we can eat because we were all very hungry because we did not have breakfast or lunch.. When my uncle had finished saying the prayer Angelina  mum said to go first to get some food and  they will get the food after us.

First,  I went to get the battered chicken,hot clips and spring rolls, Angelina’s mum said to us to eat a lot of  food because this was our dinner and when we go back home she won't make any more food to eat. After I had finished eating Angelina asked me if I wanted some more food and I saw No, I was not hungry any more.     

After all of us had finished eating  we  sang happy birthday to Angelina and her litter brother while we waited for the cake to come.  the cake was ready for them to blow the candles.

After we had finished we went to take the cake and the other  things  to the car so we can go to my house to ask my mum if I can sleep over again.When we got there my mum was not there so ask my brother  and he said yes and he will tell my mum when she comes back.

my very special shoe

                                               

Once there was a very special shoe that belonged to a girl named Angelina. The shoe was special to her because her dad brought it  on  her birthday  before he died.

One day she took her shoe to school to show her friend because they  wanted to see the When she took them she put them in her locker. The boy on the other side saw her put  them in, so he decided to steal them  the so he did when everyone had gone to class.

When she went to put them on she did not see them in her locker. She saw her friend wearing them so they had a fight at the back for the school. Angelina’s friend went home crying.

So the next day Angelina's friend’s mum went to their school and told the principle that her daughter was  in a fight with Angelina. So they called Angelina mum to came to school to talk to her about the fight that happened at school.

The principal  decided to put them on a 1 week  detention so that they can learn their lesson. Angelina’s friend gave back her shoe and they  decided apologies to each other.

 In reading  we have been reading a magazine about healthy food and we had to make a menu for healthy food.

Cat Crusoe!

In reading we have been reading a book about a lost cat that has green eye and people did not like him. I make a poster to describe cat Crusoe.

Sticky glue!

I have learnt that when flour is mixed with water, it gets sticky because the starch reacts with the water.

My advertisement for books!

This is my advertisement for books. I chose books because I like to read and it helps me to learn. I have us  lot of colours and pictures to convince the consumers to buy my books.

Helping others and yourself

These are reasons why I think we should look after ourselves and others

• you have a shower to keep your body clean
• We go to church to clean our soul
• We do chores and look after our family

In reading we have discovered a new word and it is inference so we had to search for the meaning for it and I find it.

My Weekend at the Marae

 

HURRY, HURRY, HURRY! It is getting dark  and there’s so much things to do and so little time! We need to pack up so we can go to the Marae and we were already running late for the Maori celebration. The celebration was to welcome the family and the people who come to the Marae to see and talk to one another and because we live far, far away from the Marae, we had to stay there for 2 days.

Our stay there was wonderful. My uncle went to get lots and lots of bakery food. My sister had an allergic reaction because  my uncle said that she ate something that she was not suppose to. So my older sister took her to the hospital and sadly, she had to stay there for a night for observation. My uncle was laughing at my sick sister because she could not stop scratching herself and she was red all over her body and she looked like a red alien from planet x. She did look very funny!  

At the hospital, my sister was  screaming because there was no doctor to help her to get rid off the itchiness and the redness in her skin. The nurses gave her medicines to stop the itchiness. She was placed in a room and stay there until she gets better.

I feel sorry  for my sister because she missed out all the fun at the Marae. But I had such a great, happy and exciting time playing with my cousins there.

My School Hoilday

Happy holiday is over and it is time to do some school work.

Last Monday it was time for me to come back to  school for term 2 . l was so happy and very excited to see my classmates and friends again.

The night before school I went to sleep early. When I woke up the following day, I cannot wait to come to school to get some school work done so that when I grow up I will know what to do, when to do things and how to do them properly.

When I arrived at school we had to have prayers with the whole school and then we had to go to our classes. In  Miss Chao’s class we started to do talk about ourselves and about the school holidays.    

I had a great holiday with my family and friends,I went to the movies with the holiday program people. It was fun because we had popcorn, a drink and ice cream with some lollies.  I had the best holidays ever.
